the women who cried for a year (and counting)
the women who cried for a year (and counting) follows a 24-year-old university student in Cork, Ireland, on the brink of finishing her degree and stepping into adulthood. But instead of celebrating, she’s stuck in a damp flat, drowning in tears she can’t stop. A toxic relationship with her mother, sharpened by her grandmother’s recent death, has cracked her world open. Her mind splits into two voices: Eimear, the practical planner and Saoirse, the wild dreamer who wants to shave her head and run. Together, they push her to confront the mess all at once. Fish finger dinners, ignored texts from a dentist, and the ghost of her mother lingers all the while.
